What's Happening in Drawing Lab This November?

Our theme this month is Form & Value: Making Things Look 3D!

Have you ever wondered how artists make a flat drawing look like it pops right off the page? That's exactly what we'll be exploring! Over three weeks, students will learn how to use light, shadow, and shading to bring their drawings to life.

• Week 1 – From Circle to Sphere: Turn simple circles into realistic, three-dimensional objects using shading and highlights.
• Week 2 – Light on Different Forms: Discover how light and shadows work on different shapes while practicing observational drawing.
• Week 3 – Build It, Then Light It: Put those new skills to work designing an original robot, imaginary creature, or invention!

Drawing Lab is designed for ages 8 and up, and students of all experience levels are welcome. Whether your child loves to draw or is just beginning to explore their artistic abilities, this class provides an opportunity to build foundational skills, develop confidence, and discover their own creative style.

We'd love to have your young artist join us this month!

Fridays, 1:30-2:45

Each 75-minute class builds on the skills learned the previous week, making this a wonderful opportunity to grow as an artist while having fun along the way.
