Meet the Artist Behind the Apron!

There's more to Joyful Art Center than paintbrushes, colorful projects, and creative classes—it's the people who bring it all to life! This week, we're taking you behind the scenes to introduce you to one of the talented teaching artists who makes Joyful such a special place to create, learn, and connect.

Meet Sheri Marcus

Meet Sheri, Joyful Art Center's Director of Education! A familiar face around the studio since 2022, Sheri brings creativity and enthusiasm to everything she does. From inspiring our youngest artists in Preschool Art Lab and Little Makers to leading the fun at special events, Sheri helps make Joyful a welcoming place to explore, learn, and create!

Creativity Q & A with Sheri

• What's your favorite medium to work with? "Fiber arts is my favorite medium- I can take projects anywhere with not a ton of supplies or clean up"
• What's one thing you wish everyone knew about making art? "Creating is much more fun when you focus on the enjoyment in the process, rather than the perfection of the project."
• What's something creative you're working on right now? "Creating is much more fun when you focus on the enjoyment in the process, rather than the perfection of the project."
